FUNAI Cut Off Mark (2026): Complete Programme Screening Scores

The FUNAI cut off mark for 2026/2027 begins at 150 for many programmes, but the university publishes higher UTME screening floors for several courses. Medicine and Surgery requires 250, Nursing 240 and Law 230 in the main programme schedule.

Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike also distinguishes its main screening exercise from supplementary admission into selected programmes. Use the table and application instruction for the route you actually intend to follow rather than treating a supplementary list as the complete university course offer.

General Screening Cut-Off: 150 And Programme Exceptions

The lowest FUNAI cut off mark in the 2026/2027 main screening notice is 150. That does not make every applicant with 150 eligible for every degree. Computer Science, health programmes and several other courses have explicit higher requirements.

These numbers are labelled UTME minimum screening scores. They are not final departmental aggregate scores, and the university’s notice does not provide separate merit, catchment or ELDS selection columns. Do not manufacture those figures from the general floor.

Screening BandExamples
150Agriculture, many humanities, education and physical science programmes
160Anatomy, Physiology, several engineering courses, Biochemistry and Microbiology
170Accountancy, Business Administration and Mass Communication
180Computer Science
210Medical Laboratory Science
230Law
240Nursing Science
250Medicine and Surgery

For a course below, compare your actual UTME result with its own row. A strong result in the wrong subject combination does not remove the programme’s subject requirements. Likewise, a score meeting the floor does not reserve a place in a competitive department.

The following rows expand the university’s grouped programme schedule. Scores shared through a grouped cell are repeated for clarity. Technology Education’s five options are shown separately so that the general programme label does not conceal the named specialisations.

The FUNAI cut off mark for Chemical Engineering is 150 in this notice, while Civil, Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering are 160. Do not apply one engineering score to all five programmes. Similarly, Accountancy and Business Administration are 170, while Banking and Finance and Public Administration are 150.

FUNAI Cut Off Mark: Health Courses

The university requires O’Level results at one sitting for Medicine and Surgery, Law, Nursing Science and Medical Laboratory Science in the current notice. That is a separate condition from meeting the UTME minimum. A candidate should check both before paying for an application.

Human Nutrition and Dietetics has a 160 floor in the main schedule, which differs from Medical Laboratory Science at 210 and Nursing at 240. These courses lead to different qualifications and should not be treated as interchangeable admission routes.

If you do not meet the FUNAI cut off mark for your preferred professional programme, consider only alternatives that match your subjects and genuine study interests. An offer in a related science degree is not a promise of a later transfer into Medicine or Nursing. Any transfer requires its own current rules and available places.

Main Screening And Supplementary Admission

The main exercise’s extended closing date was 14 August 2026. That notice also required the relevant results to be uploaded on JAMB CAPS by the same date. As of 26 October 2026, those dates are past and should not be presented as an open registration window.

A separate supplementary notice invites eligible applicants who have not received admission to selected under-subscribed programmes. It lists a narrower set of courses, with their own stated minimums and subject conditions. The portal has also displayed supplementary application deadlines that are already past, so check an explicit current instruction before starting a new application.

Do not assume that a course missing from the supplementary list has stopped existing. It may simply be unavailable for that particular admission stage. Equally, the presence of a course in the main table does not establish that a supplementary place remains available months later.

Screening Mode And Application Fee

The FUNAI cut off mark notice states that the 2026/2027 assessment uses internal screening of candidates’ results. Applicants should not be given an invented aptitude examination date or told to travel for an unannounced test. Follow a later official instruction if the university issues one for a specific stage.

The published processing fee for the main application is ₦2,000. Use the official application route, validate the JAMB registration number and supply an active personal email and phone number. The published process includes email verification and payment through the account instruction generated for the application.

Check the amount and recipient within the official process before transferring funds. Do not copy an account number from an unrelated screenshot or assume an old payment instruction remains valid. Save the acknowledgement and payment evidence and ensure the registration itself is completed.

JAMB Records, Course Changes And Genuine Results

The main notice allows applicants who did not initially choose AE-FUNAI to participate after completing the required change of institution and course within the stated period. The change must exist in the relevant JAMB record; selecting a new course on an informal form is insufficient.

For the FUNAI cut off mark to be useful, your academic subjects must fit the proposed degree. Compare the O’Level and UTME requirements before changing course. A lower minimum in another department is not a solution if your examination subjects do not qualify you for it.

All applicants should ensure the required O’Level or Direct Entry results are uploaded on CAPS. The university warns that false information can cause disqualification. Review imported information as carefully as manually entered details and keep access to the email and phone used for the application.

Reading Admission Results Correctly

An application acknowledgement and an admission offer are different documents. After completing screening, monitor the official university channel and JAMB admission records for the actual outcome. Do not interpret a payment receipt or a status showing that a form was submitted as confirmation of a place.

If an alternative programme is proposed, confirm its name, qualification and conditions before accepting. Make any formal change required by the university or JAMB rather than relying on a verbal message. Retain the offer and acceptance documents so that later clearance can be completed from consistent records.

Applicants comparing nearby state university requirements can read COOU cut off mark. The AAU cut off mark guide shows a different published table format, which should not be used to calculate an AE-FUNAI aggregate.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is The Lowest FUNAI Cut Off Mark?

The main 2026/2027 schedule starts at 150 for many programmes. Use the higher requirement where your course has one.

What Are The Medicine And Nursing Requirements?

The published main table gives 250 for Medicine and Surgery and 240 for Nursing Science. The notice also requires one-sitting O’Level results for those programmes.

Does Computer Science Use The General 150 Floor?

No. Computer Science is listed at 180. A candidate should not substitute the minimum for another physical science programme.

Is A Supplementary List The Same As The Full Course List?

No. It identifies programmes available for a particular supplementary stage. Check the specific invitation, subjects and current deadline before acting.

Does This Schedule List Pharmacy Or Radiography?

The main notice’s available-programme table does not list Pharmacy or Radiography. Do not add a guessed score because a related health course appears. Ask the university about current availability if either programme is your goal; an autocomplete suggestion is not evidence of an approved intake.

Are These Final Departmental Aggregate Scores?

No. The notice identifies them as minimum UTME screening scores. Meeting one establishes a score condition for consideration and does not guarantee an admission offer.
